At the age of 88 years old Tommy Hunt still performs across the UK and Europe staging the very best Doo-Wop and Northern Soul tracks. With regular ‘Meet & Greets’ or ‘An Evening With’ style showcases – being on the stage is something Tommy Hunt still lives for, making him the oldest performer in soul.
Up and coming talent is something Tommy is extremely passionate about and loves sharing the stage with emerging artists. His many years’ of experience within the music industry and exposure on working with music legends such as Marvin Gaye and Ray Charles, Tommy is full of stories, professional advice and insider knowledge of over 65 years’ within the music business. No matter who he meets, all the artists that Tommy works with hold high respect for him – he’s the embodiment of their “Godfather of Soul”.
Tommy can be regularly seen performing with Stefan Taylor & The Signatures where he enjoys having a full ten-piece band performing Northern Soul behind him. Together with The Signatures, Tommy can be seen performing at many scooter rallies, Northern Soul events and festivals across the UK. In Europe, Tommy makes appearances with Doo-Wop band “The Velvet Candles” and Spanish Northern Soul band “The Twisted Wheels”. He can also regularly be seen performing more intimate venues with UK soul singer, Johnny Boy, together they deliver a fantastic set of soul showing their unique friendship they’ve developed between them.
